Festival “Maclay Coast” is dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the outstanding Russian scientist and traveler N.N. Miklouho-Maclay and the 150th anniversary of his legendary expedition to New Guinea. The festival is organized within the framework of educational project “Miklouho-Maclay Online Museum” and is intended to introduce the achievements of Russians in the field of exploration of the Southern Seas in the XIX century and in the present time to families and their children, researchers.

Visitors will see an exhibition which showcases objects of material culture of the New Guinea Island of a high historical and cultural value, photographs and copies of drawings, as well as the Maclay Coast model layout made in accordance with the archival materials.
