Miklouho-Maclay Online Museum in the school №574

Miklouho-Maclay Foundation with the support of the Secondary General Education School №574 (State Budgetary Educational Institution) of the Nevsky District in Saint-Petersburg launch a series of lectures within the project “Miklouho-Maclay Online Museum“.
The series of lectures will tell about the biography and travels of the courageous explorer of Oceania of the XIX century in Australia, the history, significance and value of his expeditions for all mankind.

Between his long-lasting expeditions to Southeast Asia, N. N. Miklouho-Maclay often made stops in Australia, where he conducted research and processed the material he gathered. Also, on the initiative of the outstanding traveler, it was in Australia that the first biological station in this part of the world was opened. On the same continent Nikolay Nikolaevich met his love and made a family. According to Australian scientists, Nikolay Nikolaevich is one of the founders of Australian science.
