On October 12 there was a grand opening of the “Maclay Coast” festival and presentation of the first in Russia Miklouho-Maclay Online Museum.
The event was timed to the 175th anniversary of the outstanding Russian scientist and traveler N. N. Miklouho-Maclay and the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and Papua New Guinea.
