The Royal Commission of Inquiry in to the off-shore loan from the Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) commenced its sitting. Founding prime minister Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare will be the first witness to help the Royal Commission of Inquiry into transactions undertaken in obtaining a loan from Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS). Sir Somare is one of 12 witnesses requested to appear before the Commission of Inquiry in regard to the procedures undertaken by past governments in obtaining the off-shore loan from the Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) and other related transactions.
